Roller Conveyors
Overview:
- Roller conveyors are designed to transport, accumulate and distribute goods between different points within a warehouse. They can also be used to connect various logistics warehouses or production centers to a company’s own warehouses.
- Roller conveyors save time and improve repetitive load movement efficiency with pre-plotted circuits, through reduced manual handling of the goods.
- They may be powered by a motor, by gravity, or manually.
Application Area:
- Warehousing, manufacturing, package handling and distribution applications, loading docks, for baggage handling, or on assembly lines among many others.
Types & Features:
- Gravity Roller Conveyors:
- The rollers are not powered and use gravity, if inclined, to move the product, or manually if mounted horizontally.
- The conveyors can be straight or curved depending on the application and available floor space.
- Powered Roller Conveyors:
- Powered Roller Conveyors use powered rollers mounted in frames to convey products. Key specifications include the drive type, roller diameter and material, and the axle centre dimension.
- Various drive types include belts, chains/sprockets, and motorized rollers.
- Flexible Conveyor:
- It makes skilful use of movement, expansion, and compaction so that floor space required can be reduced remarkably.
They can be combined with loading unloading belt/roller conveyor, for truck container warehouse loading unloading usage or multiple flexible conveyors can be connected and can be expanded optionally to any length required.
